Would you like the opportunity to present a poster at the conference?
Interested in sharing the outcome of your research, or getting help with a particular issue?
We invite any UK-based researcher identifying as an early career researcher (ECR) and working in the field of energy storage (whether as part of a Faraday Institution project, or not) to complete an expression of interest form below:
Posters will be chosen based on a first come, first served basis.
Encouraging diversity
We particularly welcome applications from groups under-represented in previous conferences, including women, ethnic minority groups, those with disabilities and people who typically are under-represented in STEM fields. We endeavour to foster diversity in all its forms, including career stage and specific areas of expertise, to represent the broadest collection of voices and ideas.
What to present
Examples could include:
- Latest scientific findings (with supervisor permission)
- Progress on a challenge you are trying to solve
- Instruction on a specific technique that is proving beneficial
- The benefits of a collaboration you are involved in
- Lessons learnt from another scientific area
- Experience gained from applying for a patent
- Details of an internship experience
- A case study on working with an industry partner
- How to make research commercially relevant
- A positive professional development or training experience
Maximise your chances of success
We encourage all researchers submitting EOIs to:
- Highlight the collaborative/multi-disciplinary nature of their work where possible.
- Clearly articulate how the outcome of their research could impact industry or consumers. What battery performance/cost factors are being targeted and why? Please talk to your work package leader or project leader in advance of submitting your abstract if needed.
Confidentiality
Researchers are reminded to treat the conference as an open forum. The audience will include researchers working in industry. Please check with your supervisor to ensure no commercially sensitive information is shared in the EOI or the proposed poster or presentation.
Eligibility
