What is included in the conference registration?
As well as conference attendance and workshop, the ticket also includes refreshments, the conference dinner and accommodation for the night of 31st October at Scarman and Radcliffe on-site accommodation: https://warwick.ac.uk/services/conferences/guestinfo/.
Can I book another night's accommodation?
If you wish to book another night’s accommodation, please contact Marie at marie.day@warwick.ac.uk noting that you are attending the “FI ECR 2022 conference” to obtain the conference rate.
Can I use my Faraday Institution training budget?
Yes, all Faraday Institution PhD researchers and PDRAs have a minimum of £2000 per year for training that supports career development goals to be met. As the ECR conference is designed as a high-quality professional development event, training budget can be used for conference attendance.
Who can submit an Expression of Interest?
Any UK-based researcher identifying as an early career researcher (ECR) and working in the field of energy storage (whether as part of a Faraday Institution project, or not) is eligible to attend the conference. This includes researchers working in industry as well as academia.
I am an ECR not affiliated to The Faraday Institution, can I attend the event?
Yes! We have extended the event to the broader community, however, the event is aimed at early career researchers.
Can I present a talk/poster that is not strictly about “research”?
Absolutely! We consider science in the broader sense, so you can talk about anything related to it. This includes (but is not limited to) dissemination, open science, commercialisation…
What support is available?
If you require additional support to enable attendance at this event (such as childcare costs), please submit a request outlining the ask and associated cost, then send to ecr@faraday.ac.uk for consideration.
